Winchester Open Mic Night celebrates 2 years with a mini music fest Aug. 28

What started as a six-week project for Township of North Dundas summer intern, Laura Casselman, has become one of eastern Ontario’s best kept entertainment secrets. On Thursday, August 28, “Winchester Open Mic Night Under The Stars” will be celebrating its second anniversary with a free mini music festival and family picnic at the gazebo at 100 Club Park on Main Street, starting at 5 p.m. The music begins at 7 p.m. on the gazebo stage, featuring many of the area’s favourite performers.
Andy’s Foodland will be there with hamburgers and hot dogs, and the Dundas Youth Centre will be providing a children’s arts and crafts station. In the tradition of an open stage, all artists are welcome to perform and can sign up for a set when they arrive.
