It’s going to cost a little more to get married in North Grenville.
North Grenville Council has voted for a $10 increase to $120 for a marriage licence.
The 2018 budget had based revenues on the $10 increase according to the municipality, so the change had to be made in the bylaw.
Officials say neighbouring municipalities charge between $100 to $158 for their marriage licences. They say this will keep the municipality competitive when it comes to the cost in the area.
