There could soon be a new sign on Highway 416 welcoming drivers to Kemptville.
North Grenville Committee of the Whole discussed the idea at Monday’s meeting. While the multi-year project involving more signs and banners comes in at about a quarter of a million dollars, this year $60,000 would be spent on the destination sign at the 416 interchange for County Road 43 travelling southbound.
Director of Planning and Development Phil Gerrard says that location will give the community the biggest bang for their buck.
Gerrard says it’s important to look at the big picture with the other signs over a number of years.
Council will vote on the proposed sign at the next council meeting.
