Winchester District Memorial Hospital Foundation Matching Gift program

The generosity of one anonymous donor kick started three years of fundraising.

The Winchester District Memorial Hospital Foundation’s Matching Gift program started in 2015 when a donor offered to match any donations made by the public, for a certain amount of time. Since the campaign started over $150,000 has been raised. Kristen Casselman, Managing Director with the Foundation, says after three years they can safely say that the donors are inspired and motivated by the opportunity to give gifts that are matched dollar for dollar.

The money has been used over the years to buy equipment for the hospital and this year was no different with at least some of the funds being spent on an Echocardiogram. Casselman thanks all the donors on behalf of the Foundation Board and staff. She adds they are grateful and encouraged by the loyalty and thoughtfulness of the community.
