RVCA raises funds for Jock River shoreline restoration project

The popular Jock River Landing public canoe and kayak launch and picnic area is showing signs of wear, erosion and degraded fish habitat. The Rideau Valley Conservation Authority is working with the City of Ottawa and its partners to raise funds and tackle the problem, with regrading of the shoreline, shrub and wildflower planting and the creation of formal entry points for watercraft. The restoration project is expected to start in October and finish in springtime.
