Businesses in Ottawa and surrounding areas will now have access to new technology.
The announcement was made Friday by Bob Chiarelli, MPP for Ottawa West-Nepean at the opening of the new IBM Innovation Incubator Project. The project is a joint-partnership between Ontario Centres of Excellence, Invest Ottawa and IBM Canada.
The project would help small and medium sized enterprises get new technology to compete in the global marketplace, and would see up to 2600 jobs created by 2020.
In 2016, Premier Kathleen Wynne announced that the province will invest up to $22.75 million to the project through the Jobs and Prosperity Fund.
