Ottawa has forecast rainbows for the next week as the 29th Capital Pride Festival gets underway. The 10-day festival features parties, boat cruises, drag shows and discussion forums, with the big finale Pride Parade on Sunday, August 24 at 1 pm. 75,000 spectators are expected to take in the parade. Next weekend’s most colourful event is expected to flood the downtown core, starting at Bank and Gladstone. Capital Pride is one of Ottawa’s biggest festivals, featuring more than 75 events from August 15 to 24.
