Parents are being reminded to talk to their children about safety when it comes to school buses.
With students returning to Upper Canada District School Board and Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario schools on Tuesday, it’s a chance for parents to remind children about the potential dangers around roads and when riding the bus to school.
Student Transportation of Eastern Ontario Acting GM/CAO Janet Murray says parents should take a moment to speak to kids before they board the bus for the first time each year.
Murray says there’s a tip that bus drivers tend to remind kids about more than any other.
The French Catholic and French public boards began their school year last week.
