The Two Rivers Food Hub has managed to help create more than an estimated 50 jobs in the region.
That was part of the message delivered by the hub’s General Manager Bruce Enloe at the North Grenville Council meeting.
Enloe says seven of those jobs were created at the hub itself with another 45 plus jobs created indirectly in the farming community and through the commercial kitchen it rents.
Enloe spent 20 minutes speaking to council members about the not-for-profit hub. Enloe says he sees the potential for more growth when it comes to local food.
Enloe summarized what they bring to the table.
Enloe says they also help out in the community through giving-back boxes and donations to food drives, support for charities and school food programs and collaboration with other local food projects.
