The Municipality of North Grenville is set to proclaim September as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in North Grenville.
On Friday, Mayor David Gordon will be joined by Neon Night Kemptville Chair Brenda Burich and Canadian Cancer Society Fundraising Specialist Christina Thompson at the North Grenville Municipal Centre for the flag raising ceremony and proclamation. The event will be held at 10:00am and is open to the public.
The Canadian Cancer Society says one child with cancer is one too many. In addition to raising awareness, the society says it continues to invest heavily in childhood cancer research in Canada.
