More than 300 people crowded the arboretum at the Ferguson Forest Centre to get a glimpse of the solar eclipse.
The viewing event was hosted by the Friends of the Ferguson Forest Centre and the North Gower Science Club.
People could look through special lenses, telescopes and other viewing instruments to see the celestial event.
Friends of the Ferguson Forest Centre Chair Liza Duhaime explains that an astronomy event is something they strive to do every year.
Duhaime says they have a few more events planned this year.
