At the July meeting of the North Grenville Safety and Wellness Council, work began on a “Situation Table”. This tool acts as social navigator; for example if an individual, family, or group finds themselves in a position of elevated risk where support is needed, those in the Situation Table will review the case and provide assistance by: determining what services they need; referring them to the appropriate resources; and supporting them in getting help as soon as possible. The group is working with the Police Services Board with a plan to have the tool in place by September 2014.
