Rideau Canal tourism stakeholders are being invited to a special workshop to provide input on their experiences.
The Rideau Heritage Route Tourism Association has hired BDO Canada to produce a Tourism Investment and Attraction Profile and Feasibility Study.
United Counties of Leeds and Grenville Economic Development Manager Ann Weir says BDO and the association have been interviewing tourism stakeholders along the canal but Weir says they want to give everyone a chance to provide feedback.
The project includes learning more about the impact of tourism within the Rideau Canal area. Weir says the workshop is open to both the public and private sector.
The workshop is a chance to present what has already been discovered within the study and get new input if anyone wants to add to it. It’s also an opportunity to attract tourism investment in the future.
The workshop takes place on Wednesday, August 30th from 8:30am to 10:30am at the North Grenville Municipal Centre.
While there is no cost to attend the event, you have to register by Monday, August 21st through [email protected].
