RVCA asking for help in reporting algal blooms or excessive aquatic plant growth

The Rideau Valley Conservation Authority is asking you to report any green algal blooms or excessive aquatic plant growth in lakes and rivers in the region. The Citizen Water Watch website at www.citizenwaterwatch.ca allows water users to report any observations of algal blooms or excessive aquatic plant growth they see. This allows the RVCA to help develop future research on the causes of these phenomenons and gain a better understanding of the growths. To find out more about the project visit www.rvca.ca or contact Kaitlin Brady, kaitlyn.brady@rvca.ca.
