The first phase of the County Road 44 multi-use pathway is almost complete.
North Grenville Director of Parks, Recreation and Culture Mark Guy says that the first phase is about 95 percent done.
Guy says that the second phase has started, although most of the work being done is on the sanitary line. Work on the pathway will come later.
Phase two of the pathway will cost just over half a million dollars. The municipality did receive a grant of $205,000 towards the full pathway project.
The sanitary line which is also part of the phase two construction will cost just over $720,000. The municipality did receive another grant for that project in the amount of $280,000.
