Leeds Grenville MPP Steve Clark calls for fairness in ATV regulations

It’s time to update Ontario’s Highway Traffic Act by amending an outdated regulation and treating all ATVs equally. This is the message Leeds-Grenville MPP Steve Clark presented at Queen’s Park last week. Clark called on Transportation Minister Steven Del Duca to amend the regulation to allow side-by-side, four-seat side-by-side and two-up all-terrain vehicles on Ontario roadways under the same conditions other ATVs now enjoy.

In his statement, Clark noted the Legislative Assembly unanimously passed a non-binding motion last November directing the Minister of Transportation to make the amendment to Regulation 316/03.

Clark said it’s worth noting Del Duca spoke in support of the motion last fall prior to his recent appointment to cabinet. He said it’s time to put words into action.
