Drug trafficking family busted in Picton and Ottawa

An entire family has been arrested in an OPP drug seizure. Sixty two-year-old Tadeusz Lakomy and 20-year-old Kristina Lakomy both of Ottawa, as well as 48-year-old Jeffery Lakomy and his 45-year-old wife Mary Lakomy, both of Picton, are facing several possession and trafficking charges. On July 30th at 9:30am the OPP Drug Enforcement Unit with the assistance of the Prince Edward County detachment executed a search warrant at a residence on Diverbelt Drive in Picton.

The OPP seized a quantity of marijuana with an approximate street value of $45,000. Police also seized related drug paraphernalia and cash. Two of the accused appear in Belleville court July 31st; the other two are in Picton court August 20th.
