Perth athlete Sultana Frizell wins Women's Hammer Throw in Glasgow

Sultana Frizell of Perth has won her second straight Commonwealth Games title in the women’s hammer throw in Glasgow, Scotland. The 29-year-old threw 71.97 metres July 28th to break her own Commonwealth Games record and claim Canada’s first track and field medal at these Games. Tim Nedow of Brockville, who trains with Frizell in Kamloops, B.C., added a bronze in the men’s shot put later in the day.
