A suspected gas leak at St. Michael Catholic High School has prompted fire crews and emergency response.
North Grenville Fire Service responded to what turned out to be a false alarm at the school at around noon today.
While two crews were investigating the potential leak with gas meters, students and staff were evacuated to the North Grenville Municipal Centre.
Deputy Fire Chief Randy Urslak says the smell wasn’t caused by a gas leak at all.
Urslak says the school’s staff and kids did a great job during the evacuation process.
Students were able to return to school after the incident.
