Residents invited out to public consultation regarding basic income study in Ontario

The Leeds and Grenville Poverty Reduction Alliance is inviting residents out to attend a consultation for a study on basic income in Ontario.

The province announced with its 2016 budget that Ontario would be investing in a pilot project to examine basic income needs to residents.

The purpose of exploring basic income is to ensure everyone has a decent standard of living and well-being, regardless of work status.

There are two consultations taking place in Leeds and Grenville. The first is in Cardinal on January 16th and the second is in Brockville on January 23rd.

If you would like to attend one of the local consultations please call 613-342-3840 ext. 2122 or email [email protected].
