The OPP are warning residents of the latest fraud going around: the fake inheritance letter. Over the past week a number of people have received a letter from a London, UK accountant and independent writing consultant. The writer says he is trying to distribute the wealth of a now deceased business person but is having trouble locating the beneficiary. They go on to say the unclaimed funds can be released to the letter recipient as they have the same last name. Police want to warn you this is just an attempt to steal your personal information.
