Leeds-Grenville MPP Steve Clark has come forward to criticize the provincial Liberal’s new carbon tax.
Clark says Premier Kathleen Wynne doesn’t understand the burden the tax puts on rural families.
Clark says the tax is most visibly seen at the pumps, where rural drivers will be spending an average of 4.3 cents more per litre thanks to the new carbon tax.
He points out that these families do not have the luxury of taking the bus or the subway and depend on their vehicles to go to and from work.
The new tax kicked in at the turn of the New Year.
