The OPP is reminding drivers to be extra careful for pedestrians during the winter months.
According to police, there have been 30 pedestrians killed on OPP patrolled roads this year, which is a 66 per cent jump from last year.
Police say that you need to be careful for pedestrians when driving, because winter brings less light and tougher road and weather conditions that can change in an instant.
Drivers are being asked to stay alert and prepared to stop for pedestrians.
Pedestrians are asked to be aware of their surroundings, never assume a driver can see you, and wear reflective or light coloured clothes if walking in the dark.
