Ottawa OPP officer charged with theft, resisting arrest in Carleton Place

An OPP officer is facing charges of theft and resisting arrest. On June 22nd the accused was arrested for theft under $5,000 at the Walmart in Carleton Place. The 13-year member of the Ottawa OPP detachment was investigated by the OPP Professional Standards Bureau and charged. He was off duty at the time of the incident. 37-year-old Provincial Constable Dennis Hill is currently on leave and will appear in Perth court in August.
