Education and Employment Centre hoping to inform families about post-secondary education funding

The Education and Employment Centre in Prescott will be holding a special event to allow more students and parents easier access to post-secondary education funding.

The event takes place on Tuesday, November 29th from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.

About 8000 students in Leeds and Grenville are eligible for up to $2000 in post-secondary education funding through the Canada Learning Bond.

Michelle Carroll, Manager at the EEC says students are more likely to attend post-secondary education if they have money set aside to do so.

To be eligible, children must be born after January 1st, 2004 and parents must be eligible for the National Child Benefit Supplement.
