Kemptville Landing has hit a bit of a snag. Officials from LA Group were on hand to provide an update on changes to the site plan on Monday at Committee of the Whole. Some of the changes include a seven storey and eight storey building instead of two 11 storey buildings, a common area on the ground floor which is different from the original presentation and changes to some of the materials used on the outside of the building. At the meeting, Senior Planner Phil Gerrard says the changes are too substantial for staff to approve the site plan. That means the issue will need to return to Council for approval. North Grenville CAO Brian Carre says it’s only fair that the public be given a chance to see what is now proposed. Carre says he understands the developer has some time constraints.
LA Group is hoping to begin the build in December.
