MP Gord Brown has said that he will continue to monitor wait times at the Prescott border crossing. This comes after Brown has received numerous complaints throughout the spring and summer of wait times well over one hour and only one gate being in operation.
Following travels over the Labour Day weekend, Brown wrote to the Minister of Public Safety Ralph Goodale requesting that the Prescott border crossing be reviewed. In a reply, Goodale stated that there have been times when the border crossing could have been better managed.
Standard wait times are approximately ten minutes Monday to Thursday and twenty minutes Friday to Saturday.
