If you want to save a few bucks on your hydro bill, you’re going to have to shift your usage to a different time starting today. Hydro One returns to winter hours. On-peak times run from 7:00am to 11:00am and from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Hydro One says the time-of-use pricing system reflects the true cost of power because customers are charged more when more electricity needs to be produced across the province. This system encourages customers to use more power when rates are cheapest.
