North Grenville Council is giving a group that wants to build a solar farm another listen. On Monday night, council voted to defer a motion to deny support to the Ottawa Renewable Energy Co-op for the project on Scotch Line Road. This will give OREC a chance to hold a public meeting at the next Committee of the Whole November 7th. It will allow residents that are close to the proposed project, a chance to have their say. It will also allow OREC to give a presentation on their group, as well as the project itself. While the project doesn’t need the motion of support from the municipality to move forward, it certainly helps their chances at being approved through the Feed-in-Tariff program.
