As Cyber Security Awareness Month continues, the OPP says you should be watch out for certain emails and attachments. Some attachments can be harmful and some emails will contain links to phishing scams that could trick you into giving up your username and password by pretending to be a well-known site. The OPP says you should watch out for attachments that have .exe extensions, as well as many others. Certain attachments like .jpg and .pdf should be safe, only if you have the latest security patches. The OPP says to learn more, you can go to www.getcybersafe.gc.ca.
