Low-income earners could find housing costs relief

Some low-income earners could find relief when it comes to rental costs. The United Counties of Leeds and Grenville has purchased two locations on Prescott Street which will have eight rent-geared-to-income units. Warden David Gordon says it’s a project he’s been working on for a while.

Gordon says he wants to see more done down the road.

Residents will be able to apply for housing via the Leeds and Grenville Social Services. Gordon expects the units will be available in the first half of next year.
