World Hope Canada is hoping to raise awareness and funds to combat human trafficking at an upcoming dinner. The Kemptville based charity is working to combat the issue in Ukraine. There will be a dinner held at Southgate Community Church on Friday, October 28th starting at 6:00pm. Executive Director Stephanie Gilmer says guests will hear about how World Hope Canada is working to end human trafficking at the event.
Gilmer says human trafficking is a big problem.
Organizers say the event will also raise funds through a freewill offering to support the work in Ukraine. Space is limited. You can reserve seats by going to www.worldhope.ca.
