Smiths Falls native Brooke Henderson has won the Investors Group Ontario Women’s Amateur Golf Tournament in Brampton, Ontario. The 16-year-old golf star won the tournament by three strokes. Henderson is having a good summer; she shot a bogey-free, 6-under-par 66 to win a Canadian Women’s Tour event in Niagara Falls in June and it qualified her for what is now called the Canadian Pacific Women’s Open for the third consecutive year. That tournament, a stop on the LPGA Tour, will take place at London, Ontario in late August.
