Pinehill Road Residents present petition regarding road safety concerns to NG council and council responds

Pinehill Road residents are hoping North Grenville Council and staff can find a resolution to their traffic concerns on the street. Residents presented a petition to council at last night’s meeting regarding their concerns. They also suggested speed bumps be installed on the road to slow traffic. Local resident Al Sampson says traffic has become more than just a nuisance on Pinehill.

After the petition was presented, Deputy-Mayor Barb Tobin put forward a motion to receive it, and have staff prepare an administrative report for council regarding their request and concerns. That motion was passed by council. Director of Public Works Karen Dunlop also commented during discussion that staff is looking into a traffic calming policy for North Grenville, which would also address concerns on Pinehill Road specifically.
