The Brockville General Hospital is in financial trouble and is asking for a loan. The Brockville Recorder says that BGH asked for $5.3 million from the Local Health Integration Network to pay for its bills. Interim President and CEO Wayne Blackwell says the hospital hasn’t adjusted to the new provincial health care model very well and is in financial hardship. The money would be used to pay for things like food, drugs, appliances and other bills that need to be covered. Blackwell says they’ll be reviewing administration and management staffing.
