More chip trucks may be headed to North Grenville

We could see more chip trucks in North Grenville. Committee of the Whole has recommended to North Grenville Council that changes be made to allow more refreshment vehicles. The licensing by-law would separate refreshment vehicles into three categories. Three licenses would be available for mobile canteens travelling from site to site, ten licenses for chip truck type vehicles, and up to ten licenses would be available for refreshment carts. Director of Emergency and Protective Services Paul Hutt says refreshment carts are a much smaller category.

Hutt says they consulted with the public, BIA and the local industry. Right now, six refreshment vehicles are allowed.
