A woman has been assaulted by her husband at their home in Chesterville. Police were called to a domestic incident last Thursday. The OPP says there was an altercation between a man and his wife. He reportedly wouldn’t let her leave the home. The 21-year-old man now faces charges of spousal assault, forcible confinement and overcoming resistance by choking. He’ll face charges at a future date. His name is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
