Apply to become an Ottawa Police Services auxiliary member

If you’ve ever wanted to help out in policing without making it full time employment, you may want to consider joining the volunteer auxiliary policing program with the Ottawa Police Service. Auxiliary members provide assistance to officers under their supervision. They assist in public safety, crime prevention and community events. Applicants must be 18 years old or older, have a valid G license, high school diploma and be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident. They also need to be of good moral character, meet a minimum general fitness level and pass a background clearance check. Due to the training costs, they ask that you commit to a minimum of two years. Applications are being accepted until March 20th.
