The North Grenville Police Services Board says they’re satisfied with the policing levels and the new billing model for their services in North Grenville. The Board was concerned when a new costing model was introduced last year based on base services and calls for service. They wanted to know what base services were and learned that they’re pro-active policing services such as routine patrols, crime prevention, RIDE programs, training and administration. Calls for service are policing services that are typically reactive and often require a police officer’s attendance. The Detachment Commander has also reassured the board that personnel and support services would be available as needed.
