New charges laid in Kemptville hit-and-run case

New charges have been laid in the hit-and-run collision that took the life of a North Grenville man. 54-year-old Roy Chapman was struck by a pickup truck on Townline Road June 1st, while riding his bicycle. The driver, 52-year-old Mark Gagne of North Grenville, was arrested at his home and is currently in custody for failing to stop at an accident. Gagne appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice, Brockville today. He now faces additional charges of dangerous driving and dangerous driving causing death. He remains in custody and will appear in court again on June 12th.
