Two people have been airlifted to the Ottawa Hospital Civic campus after a head-on collision with a transport on HIghway 17 this morning.The OPP say a westbound transport truck collided with an eastbound SUV shortly after 6am near O’Brien Road in Renfrew. The drivers of both vehicles were taken by air ambulance to hospital in critical condition. Investigators are still on the scene. The highway is expected to be closed in the area for most of the day; detours are in place.
