At tonight’s regular meeting, municipal council will vote on the approval of an airsoft field on Whitney Road. Council will also hear a recommendation to add the names of Civic Awards winners and Sports Hall of Fame inductees to the Recognition Wall at the municipal centre. Also on the agenda: a draft by-law to prohibit smoking within and at entrances of municipally owned or leased buildings. Council will also be voting on the transfer of approximately 2 acres of land at the sewage treatment plant and Ferguson Forest Centre to the United Counties of Leeds Grenville for the purpose of widening County Road 43. That meeting begins tonight at 6:30 pm in the theatre.
