Mistletoe Fair to benefit three local charities

The inaugural Mistletoe Fair will bring in dollars for the House of Lazarus, Lanark Animal Welfare Society and Salvation Army Food Bank. The event is set for December 2 at the North Grenville Municipal Centre. It runs from 11:00am to 4:00pm.

The Mistletoe Fair is being organized by three local bakers: Beth Tilbury, Nancy Olive and Joanne Krock. The name of the group is Totally Baked.

Tilbury says there will be live music provided by two local groups.

There is no admission price, but people are asked to bring a food item or donation for the charities. The goal is to raise $500 for each organization.

Tilbury says if you buy stuff online, no one does a happy dance, but local vendors do when you buy from them.

A total of 48 vendors are taking part in the fair. All proceeds from table rentals will also be going to the charities. For more details, check out the Mistletoe Fair Kemptville Facebook page.
