Two men were charged by Ottawa Police for damaging political electoral signs. In the early morning of May 22nd they were walking in the Southmore Drive/McCarthy Road area and lit several signs on fire. A 19 year old male and 18 year old male were both charged with mischief to property. Police determined that neither suspect was targeting any particular political party. Police remind the public that damaging political signs is a criminal offense.
