Local candidates comment on employment situation in Leeds Grenville

We asked our four local candidates in this federal election how they feel about the employment situation in our riding and what can be doing about it.

Liberal Candidate Mary Jean McFall says she has a plan to improve the job situation in Leeds Grenville.

NDP candidate Margaret Andrade says the situation is very poor but her party has a plan to be innovative and work with small business to improve job prospects in Leeds Grenville.

Lorraine Rekmans of the Green Party says youth unemployment is a big issue and her party is committed to investing in municipal infrastructure to help with the problem.

The incumbent Gord Brown of the PC party believes the employment situation in Leeds Grenville is looking pretty good, but we need better paying jobs. He says we can get those through further investment.
