The St. Lawrence Shakespeare Festival has chosen a new Artistic Director. During a four month search and interview process, during which 18 candidates from across the country were considered, Rona Waddington was selected to take on the role being left by current Artistic Director Ian Farthing. Waddington has worked as an actor at the NAC and director at theatres across Canada and in Europe. She is currently working at the Stratford Festival and will also be directing King Lear at the New Open Space Company in Paris before joining the Festival officially in December.
