MPP Clark brings Girls’ Government to Queen’s Park

 

Leeds Grenville MPP Steve Clark recently took a gaggle of high school girls with him to Queen’s Park, to take part in Girls’ Government. The event was organized through Equal Voice and Girls Inc. Upper Canada.

The girls met with Premier Wynne, as well as several other cabinet ministers and MPPs. They also held their own press conference and spoke on issues of importance to them, such as sexual harassment.

Girls’ Government is an MPP-led program designed to encourage girls to get engaged in the development of public policy by becoming active citizens.

The program is affiliated with and Equal Voice, an organization dedicated to electing more women to all levels of political office in Canada.
