Instead of a responsible plan to lift Ontario out of the fiscal hole the Liberals created, Leeds-Grenville MPP Steve Clark said the Wynne government’s 2014 budget unveiled Thursday only digs us deeper. Clark says it’s shocking to see members of the government applauding such an irresponsible and reckless plan to increase spending by $3.4 billion, grow the deficit by $1.2 billion and pile more debt onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. Clark pointed out both budgets that have been brought in by the Wynne government increased the deficit, a track record he said makes any suggestion they will balance the books by 2017-18 as planned absolutely laughable.
