Students at North Grenville District High School have raised over $4300 to help out a classmate who is recovering from surgery. On April 4th the school posted a message on their Facebook page, saying that intermediate student Blake Bothwell had been rushed to Sick Kids hospital in Toronto, in desperate need of a liver transplant. Principal Stephen Sharp confirmed the young man had transplant surgery Tuesday, and came through it with flying colours. The money raised will be used to pay for expensive anti-rejection drugs and family accommodations while the young man is in hospital.
