OPP offer $50k reward leading to arrest in case of missing man

The Lanark County Crime Unit of the OPP is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to arrests in the case of a man who disappeared 14 years ago. Troy Edgell was 30 years old when he was last seen or heard from, in June 2000. He dropped his children off after weekend visitation at a family member’s home in Cornwall on the 4th of June. His 1987 maroon coloured Lincoln was found burnt and abandoned in the Lanark Highlands near Perth on June 5th. Edgell’s family reported him missing June 20th, 2000. In 2002, Cornwall Community Police transferred the file to OPP Criminal Investigations. The Province of Ontario continues to offer the sizeable reward for leads that would result in the arrest of the person or persons responsible for Edgell’s disappearance. A photo of Edgell is available at our website. Call Lanark County OPP or Crimestoppers if you have any information.
